Excellent post. I wrote the Thanksgiving post on our blog and was feeling very blessed. Then just a couple of hours later, discovered what was happening in Mumbai, and spent the rest of the day tied up in knots over the horrible developments. It's hard to keep the feeling of gratitude sometimes, even though we know (sometimes even moreso by comparison), that we have much to be thankful for. I don't think it's strange or faraway at all, isabella. There is an old hymn that says: "May there be peace on earth and let it begin with me." There is no other way peace can be other than by the simple voice of faith we each express in the silence of contemplation and the desire to heal. May there be peace in Mumbai soon before more are lost. A whole city and tourists traumatized…I am angry, but mostly sad for the loss and grief of many things for those in Mumbai.
