hi leo - the exercises are put together in such a way that it becomes quite clear who the parent is and who the child is. interestingly enough, when getting deeper into the exercise, one can also see where one's "adult" (parent) part starts to act a bit immaturely.

re the guarantee - there aren't a lot of things that can be guaranteed. but one thing seems pretty clear - schizophrenia is not a condition that can be "acquired" like this - just like, say, multiple sklerosis cannot be acquired by sitting in a chair too long.

also, you may in fact be thinking of multiple personality disorder. that is a condition that often arises due to highly traumatic experiences and not through relatively innocuous exercises like these.

To tell the truth, I didn't understand how to do it. How may one understand where is his child and where is his parent? And is there a garantee that these exercises will not lead to schizophrenia?

I have known people to write books themselves as an exercise in healing. These books were not written to be published but simply writtena s a way of sorting through feelings. This can indeed be a very effective exercise if you have the will and inclination to explore parts of yourself.

This method is a very clever way for the subject to get in touch with their subconscious and command it to let go of some of their repressed memories. And the one that benefits from the process is what we really care about: our consciousness. Congrats to Dr. Pollard for thinking of the method.

[...] Want to get more out of journaling? Next up is isabella mori of change therapy with journaling: a dialogue. In this submission, isabella presents a journaling technique, part of a self-parenting program that can help you move forward with your healing and self discovery. She also gives a neat example of how to use the technique. Informative, nifty. [...]
