hi all. i LOVED this little exercise. it was definitely one of the highlights of the blogathon. thank you, joanna, for starting this group writing project!

emma, i've never been to sardinia. however, i've been in greece, and have spent some time dreaming about siciliy. the two combined, somehow.

Hi Isabella

Thanks for dedicating your blogathon to your ideal writing weekend. Have you ever been to Sardinia? When you described the beach with the turquoise water and the cliff, I felt as if I was transported back to my favourite beach on the island.

Thanks for making me relive my adopted home through the eyes of non-islanders.

You certainly did make it feel realistic! I felt like I was there with you.

The part about writing a poem in the dust was beautiful - very moving.

Congratulations on your blogathon!

hi raymond, and thanks for stopping by.

i certainly didn't make this very clear - but all of this was an IMAGINED trip. perhaps i did a good job at making it sound realistic?

I absolutely love Sardinia. I spent some days there in 2000 - never returned since. Should go back soon.

Have a great time in Rome!
