Hey Isabella:
I enjoyed our dinner together and walk in the woulds (woods, but that was a nice little Freudian, eh?) Thursday. I am just about to resume my hike in Pacific Spirit Park and I will be thinking and praying for you as you stay up all night. Bless you, kiddo!

Hi Isabelle-
Thanks for your creative contribution to an organization which is still very close to my heart. I was the Controller at CMHA-VB for ten years before I left in 2003 to go back to school -- in my case, Art School (Emily Carr), from which I just graduated this spring. I have always thought that one can tell a lot about the heart of an organization by the way they say "goodbye" -- and my sendoff was one of celebration that I was taking a risk to follow my dream. No wonder I still am in touch, five years later!

I guess the contest has probably started by now or is about to start (sorry, I'm on a different time zone).

Good luck to Isabella and all other participants.

If I have a chance, I look forward to reading some of these entries over the weekend.

Cheers

Andrew

i hope you have a delightful time of it. i'm a little curious about what 48 blog posts could look like in such a short time. CMHA is lucky to have you contribute to them in this way!

Hey Isabella, thanks for doing this for CMHA-VB, it is nice to see a board member supporting us and the work we do. I personally work in Supported Employment for people with a mental health issue. They are people that years ago were thought by many opeople not to be employable. Well they were wrong, many people in this program ( 70%) have gone on to employment and are doing very well. This year we celebrated by honouring the people in our program that had gotten jobs, we also asked some employers to ber reconized as well. One of the highlights of the evening was introducing the first client to get a job when the prograsm fiorst started ten years ago. He has had the same job for the last ten years. We are so proud of him and what we do.
