<description>many years ago i had a short few weeks experience with lithium prescribed by a psychiatrist whose behavior and talk seemed odder than mine. Since my body had very negative side effects, I stopped the medication on my own. When I visited the psychiatrist one last time he admonished me that I should have come to him to get a prescription that would have countered the physical side effect I had experienced. My last word to him was that I didn&#039;t believe in medication that would offset unacceptable side effects of the primary meds. I did not seek a second opinion and I have survived well enough these last 12+ yrs without lithium salts.

Yes I experience mood swings and do my best to work thru them and avoid any crazy behavior. Right now I want to reduce the meds I take for Diabetes 2 and High BP. I don&#039;t want more meds. I want fewer meds and must do the work to get there!
